2. World Book Day was celebrated for the first time on 23 April 1995.
3. On 23 April :
a. Author Miguel de Cervantes died on.
b. Birth and death of William Shakespeare,
c. Deaths of Inca Garcilaso de la Vega and Josep Pla, and
d. Birth of Maurice Druon, Manuel Mejía Vallejo and Halldór Laxness.
